Are you keen to start racing, or perhaps to take your craft to the next level?

There are loads of different options out there, but it’s not every day that a truly dominant racecar comes up for sale. When the owner of this beast contacted us, we felt that we needed to share this opportunity with the Carbs and Coffee community.

This home-built single seater owes its existence to a 9-month labour of love by driver Dee-jay Booysen and father Dirk. Powered by a 172bhp Suzuki Hayabusa 1300cc engine, the car is capable of a 1:14 at Killarney and a 1:04 at Zwartkops.

That is SERIOUSLY quick, which isn’t a surprise when the entire thing weighs just 470kg.

Other features include a power commander, auto tuner, quick shifter, chain-driven limited slip diff, modified sump, aluminium fuel tank and Bosch high pressure fuel pump. It uses Toyota Yaris front hubs with Golf Mk1 hubs at the rear.

Perhaps best of all, the car looks absolutely fantastic on track, with a striking red paint job and beautiful overall design.

The price for this 2019 Formula Libre Class S champion is R200,000. Contact the seller directly on dicoracing@gmail.com if you are interested.

Note: this car is not being sold by Carbs and Coffee and we take no responsibility for the accuracy of the above specifications.
